Materials
Procure materials strictly in accordance with the standards and requirements specified in the sculpture project design. The performance and chemical composition of sculpture materials must comply with national or industry standards. All material samples shall be inspected by professionals or supervisors, who will issue a verification certificate.
Craftsmanship
To ensure the artistic effect of urban sculptures, all urban sculpture production must be scaled up proportionally based on the design model. The creator/designer is responsible for the detailed design of each project phase, and supervises the production and processing processes.
Artistic Form
The reproduction of the sculpture’s shape must match the original design effect. For large-scale sculptures or sculptural groups produced in segments or blocks, a full-effect assembly test must be conducted, supervised jointly by the client and the creator/designer.
Construction
The design and construction of the sculpture’s foundation shall refer to the provisions of Code for Design of Building Foundations (GB50007-2011). For urban sculptures with architectural functions, their construction methods shall comply with architectural construction technical specifications.
Installation
The connection between a freestanding sculpture and its foundation/pedestal shall be structurally stable, reliably secured, and evenly loaded; the actual structural strength must meet relevant current national standards. Welding materials and processes shall comply with relevant current national standards. For reliefs, the connection method shall be determined based on the characteristics of the attached structure, and shall conform to relevant national technical specifications.
Maintenance
After the sculpture project is delivered for use, the owner shall conduct regular cleaning and maintenance to preserve its artistic effect and safety.
