This water-feature sculpture forges a complete spherical shell from 304/316 stainless steel, perforated across its entire surface with irregular water-drop-shaped openings and reinforced internally by a star-pattern arrangement of radiating support tubes that hold the hollow shell rigid from within. Engineering a large hollow sphere to remain structurally stable despite extensive surface perforation requires the internal radiating support structure to be precisely calculated and welded before the outer shell sections are attached and finished, after which the entire assembly receives an 8K mirror polish across every remaining solid surface between the water-drop perforations.

When placed on a lake or large reflecting pool, the sphere creates an exceptionally complete reflection on the water's surface, with sunlight passing through the irregular perforations and scattering in complex, constantly shifting patterns both above and below the waterline, an effect considerably richer and more dynamic than a solid, unperforated sphere could achieve. The sculpture's surface can also be customized to display a client logo discreetly worked into the perforation pattern, a detail occasionally requested by corporate and developer clients seeking subtle branded integration within a major water feature. Offered with sphere diameter from 2 to 7.5 meters, the piece functions as a genuine landmark centerpiece at its larger sizes.

This sculpture is particularly well suited to city park central lakes, tourism-site water features, industrial-park artificial lakes, and commercial water landscapes seeking a landmark sphere with rich daytime reflection and dramatic nighttime potential. The 304/316 stainless steel shell and internal support structure are fully corrosion-resistant outdoors, reflecting light brightly by day and capable of housing interior LED strips for atmospheric nighttime illumination.

The internal radiating support tubes are also positioned to double as discreet conduits for interior lighting cables where specified, allowing the sphere's nighttime illumination system to be installed without requiring any additional visible mounting hardware on the exterior of the perforated shell.
